We congratulate Somerset on beating Orchard by 20 points - it certainly was a tight finish.
I wish everyone a relaxing, safe and enjoyable break and look forward to seeing all the students back into school on Tuesday 5th April.
We finished the term with a wonderful Sports Day at Clementi stadium, where the students of Newton, Somerset, Orchard and Raffles houses competed in a range of athletic events. We watched over 100 students run in many heats in the 100m and 200m as well as fantastic jumping by Ruben as he tried to beat the schools high jump record of 165m. The High and Middle School students really gelled together and supported each other, encouraging everyone to do their best.
We congratulate Somerset on beating Orchard by 20 points - it certainly was a tight finish. I wish everyone a relaxing, safe and enjoyable break and look forward to seeing all the students back into school on Tuesday 5th April.

We were all privileged to watch a dramatic and thought provoking drama production this week, that was in aid of Chingari Project called 'The Whistleblower' by Michael Percy and adapted (with permission) by our grade 12 student director Sarah Johansson. Congratulations to the cast, Ms England for her mentoring, and students that helped make the evening a great success.
We hosted a guest speaker Ms. Joyce Halsey from Oxford Study Courses (OSC) this week. Over the last few years we have developed a solid partnership with OSC and one of their IB Advisors visits us once a year to conduct a workshop with our entire G11 cohort. The focus of the workshop was about how to improve study skills and personal organisation and time management; in addition, the Advisor provided information about their Pre-IB courses and DP revision courses, held in locations around the world (Oxford, Rome, Brussels, Dubai and some cities in Australia). Please check out their offers at: https://osc-ib.com This Friday we have the High School and Middle School Sports Day at Clementi Stadium. All students are expected to attend and a letter was sent earlier this month on ManageBac providing details. Parents are welcome to come along and support their son/daughter at Clementi. We expect to end the event at 12:00 and students will be dismissed from the stadium. Upcoming events Wednesday 16 March - Grade 12 PTC - Preston Campus 3:20pm - 6pm. Friday 18 March - Sports Day - Clementi Stadium 8:00am - 12pm Monday 21 March to Monday 4 April - Spring Break Tuesday 5 April - Students Return to School Our Grade 9 and Grade 10 students impressed us all with their Speeches on Friday. The winners of the competition were Grade 9 - Seraphino, and in Grade 10 - YoungJin.

The Student Council campaigns are on the way and we have the following students campaigning for office: Treasurer (Rin, Athalia, Chelsea) Secretary (Kinari, Hesper) President and Vice President (Duodan and Sharaf; Saadman and Daniel) They spoke with the Middle School students on Friday, via a SKYPE link and answered an array of questions about how they can support our students. The event will be at 10:10 - 11:50 in our school hall and all parents are most welcome to attend.
