Our last week of the term has been extremely busy and it is absolutely wonderful to observe our students being engaged in so many activities that enhance their learning. We truly do have exceptional students that are willing to be 'risk takers'.
Carrie was interviewed in the week by our news team 'ISS Voice' and shared her experiences and inspirations of penning her first fictional novel. She told us that the sequel has also been written and has yet to be published! A huge congratulations from us all and watch out J. K. Rowling!
A group of our students went to MBS to participate in the Pink Ribbon Walk on Saturday, the walk itself was cancelled due to the haze, however, the carnival continued. Our students supported the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign by wearing their Pink tops to school on Tuesday.
International Day
This was without a doubt the highlight of our week, the weather behaved and we had a splendid day. Our high schoolers truly demonstrated the many strands of an IB learner profile through the many activities they led, participated in or supported. The whole community enjoyed a wide range of diverse, intercultural experiences from learning K-Pop dancing, making Boomerangs; Thai mango salad and hearing folk stories from Indonesia and learning the traditional Greek dance - this just to name a few of the wonderful activities that the students participated in. Thank you to all of the students, teachers and especially Ms. England, Mrs McCarthy and our administration team for making the day such a success.
