Looking back over the past week, we have been a busy school. The student council organised a 'Lock In' for last Friday and 49 students participated in the night with a movie, a murder mystery and many fun games being played before lights out. The reports back have been positive and the students all had an enjoyable evening.
We have also had two art exhibitions where our students have shown us their creativity, truly wonderful pieces of work and the "IN' exhibition is still running until December. Please see my earlier post for details.
We are now entering the penultimate week to exams and our teachers have and will be helping student prepare and revise for these 'Semester Exams'. The timetables were sent to parents and students some time back, please contact the office if you have not received a copy of your sons/daughter/wards exam timetable.
Here are a few revision tips about preparing for exams - please take a look at the link REVISION TIPS to see how you can support your child at home.
Research has shown that shorter 20-30 minute spells work best for revision, because the concentration is much higher. Therefore it is recommend that short, frequent breaks are included in the revision day which should also have a mix in the order of the subjects revised.
Physical activity is very important - a 20-30 minute jog/walk/swim at the end of each day reduces stress and tiredness.
