This coming week all students in the High School will be involved in exams. Our Grade 9 and 11 students begin a week of internal assessments and our Grade 10 and 12 students will finish their external exams on Friday 18th. Examinations are one of many methods that are used to gather data and provide students with information to help them assess their own performance, and gain a better understanding of their strengths and weaknesses. They also provide critical data for our teachers to use to enhance their teaching and learning practice to better meet all our students needs.
Our Grade 10 students will complete three days of World of Work from the 21st - 23rd May. The three days aims to provide students with opportunities to gain experience in work placements, to gain an insight to their own strengths, and start to explore possible work options for later in life. Thank you to all of the parents and organisations that have made this possible by accepting students into their workplace. If you would like any further information about our World of Work, please contact our University advisor, Mala on [email protected]
IB Learner Profile
I mentioned last week that in April we celebrated the IB Learner Profile ' Communicators'. "They understand and express ideas and information confidently and creatively in more than one language and in a variety of modes of communication. They work effectively and willingly in collaboration with others." I would like to give a special congratulations to the following students who helped their peers in preparing for the G10 Interdisciplinary Unit for the eAssessment.
