Welcome to 2018 and a very Happy New Year. It was lovely to greet all our students returning to school this week. We are excited to welcome so many new students and to see ISS's student population grow. For those of you new to ISS, a very big welcome to the ISS family and I look forward to meeting all of you over the coming weeks.
On Monday during our inservice we held a series of workshops that support our professional development programme and provide opportunities for our teachers to grow as life-long learners.
Last month we focused on the IB Learner Profile Open-minded. '"We critically appreciate our own cultures and personal histories, as well as the values and traditions of others. We seek and evaluate a range of points of view, and we are willing to grow from the experience." (IBO, 2006) The following students are acknowledged as being open-minded:

Mock Exams

ISS Spring School 2018
English Discoverers Programme
For those who would like to get serious about improving their English language skills during this break, the ISS Spring School 2018 has developed an all new programme to help. It will be a two-week intensive course to equip you with a strong foundation, enabling you to flourish in your reading, listening and speaking abilities in English. The lessons are geared towards building confidence in grammar, vocabulary, writing and speaking in a friendly group environment, that will encompass conversational role play (talking to each other) and task-based assignments (having fun with English).
Our approach is bespoke, with our experienced teachers customising the English programme based on each student’s need and proficiency level. So if you feel that your English skills could be sharpened, this is definitely the programme for you.
Don't miss out. Go to isspringschool.edu.sg / or call +65 9722 5340 / or email [email protected] to sign up now.
