This Friday we have our International Day at Paterson campus. Here is a link about the whole day: LINK Also this Friday the first reports of the academic year will be available. The Semester One Interim Report will be available via ManageBac. This report contains a comment from each student’s Kampong teacher and an assessment of the Approaches To Learning (ATL) for each subject. The Kampong comment will review the student's start to the school year. The ATLs indicate how each student has settled into the class and their commitment to learn. These reports can be further discussed at Parent Teacher Conferences, that happen on the Monday 31st October and Wednesday 9th November. A link will be sent out this coming week for sign-ups.
Service Learning at ISS
Our students are involved in many CAS and Service Learning activities, last week we had a group in the Breast Cancer Run and this week we had students climbing to the 40th floor at Suntec in aid of KK Hospital. This Monday we have a group of entrepreneurs (Junior Achievement Company Programme) selling MINDFUL MUGS that they have designed to support the start of Mental Health Awareness Week. Please contact the group if you wish to purchase a Mug: firstname.lastname@example.org
Elementary, Middle and High School are working together to make a difference by getting involved in the Urgent Run 2016. It is a global mobilisation event to draw attention to the urgent calls for action to end the sanitation crisis. Organised annually by World Toilet Organisation, it brings together communities around the world for a run or walk for sanitation.
World Toilet Organisation (WTO) is a global non-profit working towards a world with a clean, safe toilet and sanitation for everyone, everywhere, at all times. Our mission is to continue to build the global sanitation movement through collaborative action that inspires and drives demand for sanitation, and provides innovative solutions to achieve sustainable sanitation for all.
We will have ISS student, parent, and teacher signups until October 14th. Your registration will include a Running T-Shirt, Bib, Finisher Medal, and lots of goodies in your Race Pack. All payments MUST be made by this date to confirm your registration. Students pay $28 and adults pay $40. All T-shirts and race packs will be distributed during the week of October 24-28th.
